The Sapo Cushion has a subtle design that is set against a vibrant backdrop. Each cushion is traditionally hand woven on a backstrap loom by women from the Jolom Mayaetik Weaving Co-operative in San Cristobal de las Casas, Mexico. The cushion design is a sacred Maya representation of a toad, as the toad symbolises a fertile earth and the beginning of rain. These woven motifs are featured on the front and the back is a solid matched colour with 2 stripes and an envelope opening for the cushion insert.
Due to their hand woven nature, each Sapo Cushion takes 1 week to create. The striking colours of the cushions can bring warmth to your lounge, bed or favourite chair. They pair beautifully with our Diamante Cushions, as each style compliments the other.
