Catalina Blouse

Our Catalina Blouses are traditional huipiles that are named after the artisan who created them. The intricate hand embroidery is traditional to San Vicente Coatlan, the town where Catalina grew up. The cross stitch design beautifully surrounds the neckline and capped sleeves. You will notice on this particular blouse, that the embroidery in the body is slightly off centre. This is the beauty of handmade, where the imperfections add to the uniqueness! The Catalina Blouse is made from a thick traditional Mexican cotton, perfect for cool winter days with jeans or summer with shorts.
