The Indigo Ikat Throw is beautifully handwoven and naturally dyed, while the colour reminds us of Guatemala’s vast and tranquil lakes. The throw’s lightweight feel is ideal to drape over your bed during summer nights or layer in the cooler months.
It truly has endless uses. Cosy up with it on the couch, wrap it around you during those windy surf checks, use it as a picnic rug or create a splash of colour in your bedroom.
The Indigo Ikat throw was naturally dyed using leaves from the Indigofera Tinctoria plant. By tieing specific areas of the thread before dyeing, a stunning tie-dyed ikat effect is created. The threads were then untied and handwoven on a backstrap loom. Three panels were woven and then sewn together using a thick stitching technique. Tassels on two ends were then hand knotted to create a macrame finish. This process can take up to a week for one throw.
Pair the Indigo Ikat Throw with our Sapo Cushions to create a dreamy bedroom setting.
